And, if the Commissioners are interested in feedback from out-of-town visitors and locals comments in reaction to Sheila Mullane Estrada’s article on May 6th “Huge Projects Face Key Vote in Madeira Beach” they can view the following Comments:

COMMENTS FROM READERS OF THE TAMPA BAY TIMES…

“We have been visiting Madeira Beach since 2005. We have consistently returned because it is a pleasant town. Our first year we took a discovery tour north on Gulf Boulevard. Everything was good until we were caught in huge traffic congestion. We did a quick U-turn and have never returned. Madeira Beach: The new Clearwater Beach – who would ever want to be there? Large high density condo/hotels at the foot of the drawbridge  male absolutely no sense. Who is driving this ludicrous development?  I can only imagine. Residents of Madeira beach, you need to regain control of your government. Pleasanttown is no more. We will never return.” Sandy and Mike

                                 Won’t this be fun?

MORE COMMENTS

“Yeah, lets keep allowing them to build the high rise condos and vacation rentals. That way, in a few years, our coast will look and be just like Marco Island. It’s hard enough for locals to get to public beaches now…”  RH

“Madeira Beach, want to see your future? Look north to Clearwater Beach. Once beautiful now a monstrosity and traffic nightmare. How about a round-about at 150th and Gulf Boulevard!”  L

“Agreed.”  RH

Baby crying in car seat
